IACP at Fleadh Cheoil 2015

IACP are delighted to have attended the 2015 Fleadh Cheoil held in Sligo town.

The Fleadh is the largest single festival of Irish traditional music in the world, and up to 400,000 people attend over the nine days. It is a competition for amateur musicians and these can be seen all over the town in free events, in pubs, halls, main stands
and even just as you walk through the streets.

Ten IACP members volunteered to attend on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the second weekend and distributed over 4,000 IACP leaflets and 4,000 IACP pens. IACP were interviewd on Ocean FM about therapy and the IACP presence at the Flaedh.

The IACP volunteers received a very warm response from the Fleadh attendees. IACP will attend the Fleadh in 2016 when it will be held in Ennis, Co Clare.

Many thanks to the volunteer members and everyone involved.
