Research at IACP

As put forward in the Strategic plan (2010 - 2013) IACP has begun to formally engage with Research.

As put forward in the Strategic plan (2010-2013) IACP has begun to formally engage with Research.

A committee has been formed (made up of those with strong experience/ interest in the area of research) and has begun developing policy proposals for IACP’s strategy in the area. Some of the Committee aims include:

  • Designing IACP’s research application process.
  • Develop specific proposals for research in consultation with the Executive.
  • Manage all stages of IACP commissioned research projects from application to publication.
  • Produce evidence based research relevant to Irish and International Contexts.
  • Ensuring that IACP research is in line with our Strategic Plan and Best Practice.

Member contributions in this area will be greatly valued and all members will be consulted (via survey in mid 2013) on their views and ideas about IACP’s development in the area. We look forward to seeing progress in this area and to making research an important part of the Associations work.
